Ipoh Heritage Trail Walk will take you sightseeing around the city of Ipoh which is full of historic buildings. About 4 miles long, but you can extend or shorten it depending on your energy level. In just over 130 years, Ipoh City has convert itself from a Malay village to a bustling metropolis city today. Ipoh City is the fourth largest city in Malaysia with a population greater than 700,000. Boom period began around 1880 and continued into the 1930s, largely on the back of the tin mines, and it became known as the city that tin built. City wealth can be seen in architecture and buildings that remain in the old part of town, west of the Kinta River, and covered in Ipoh Heritage Walk.
