The race day at the Perak Turf Club
The Horse racing was introduced in Malaya by the British in 1802. Perak Turf Club was started in 1886 when the first meeting was held in Taiping. In 1926, Perak Turf Club was officially established and it is now located in Racecourse Road, King of The River. In 1971, the Perak Turf Club Grandstand is equipped with a new brand that can accommodate up to 15,000 race fans. The club's activities have expanded into the sports and community projects at the state and nation.
